The "What If?" Series - Part 1 : "What if the Bible was written today?"

    So  I thought that I would try and have some structure to some of these ...I actually wrote some "Blog Ideas" down on a sheet of paper...some things that have been on my mind and I thought ...for my 'First' official blog on something other then a introduction, I would take a look at a question that left me hanging with a lot of thoughts...


   Ok a few things that you might want to know about me ...I really like the idea of time travel, I like to think about how things would ' ve turned out , WHAT IF? storylines actually, In fact ...my favorite comics are the What If series and the Dc Comics version 'Elseworlds' ...telling you the alternate version of a story....but with out going totally nerd....I had a thought enter my mind after I left church Sunday....

  "What if the Bible was written today?" or "What if what happened in the New Testament , happened today?" I had a vision of many things....Like reading blog's of the disciples....or tweets...there being total gospels being on a computer....ya see  it says in the Bible that "Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written." -John 21:25
   Now that might be true...but I thought about today...you look at whole book series being stuck on a computer...heck you got Terrabyte external hardrives out there...YOU can these days be able to do what could not be done back in the day...heck...if the Bible was written today...would that line even be in the book of John? I honestly can't tell..

  It honestly does like ...give a person...believer or not ...things to think about ...heck it honestly makes more questions....would it be written just today from the scrolls? What if what happened in the New Testament happened today? What happened if it was the Old Testament that happened in the newer age of man too? I started thinking how people communicate... what kinda languages people use to communicate...what languages were used in the Bible...How people report things ...how society really is ...and I thought ....what would it all look like ...if you took the Christian faith (A faith that I share with other Christians) and the word of the Bible ...and you tried to transfer it today ... 

  Things started to come together....like imagine you tuning in on a news website...or channel on your T.V. and there being non-stop coverage of the "Trial of Jesus" , or there being coverage of all his miracles , his sermons, interviews and peoples views ....I mean some of the religious leaders could these days be looked at as pundants...you having a 'Fox News' version of Jesus , and a 'MSNBC' view....CNN covering the movement of the disciples. Heck think about this...you know how people are going crazy over the 'Harry Potter' books or the 'Twilight' series...Imagine the craze that people would be going through over the 'Newer books' coming out ....I mean ...the people would become famous...I honestly kinda feel 2000's version of the Bible would be a cross between a gathering of Blogs...Books...Videos ...Interviews..Pictures ..and News channel ..Ya ...I think it would be almost crazy..

So many thoughts ...How people would report things...more facts...videos ...eye witness reports and all that fun stuff of how people report news and stories these days... I mean ...20 % of the World speaks English...next language in line is Mandarin Chinese ...so kinda makes me think how it would be all translated and such...and If you think ....if that all happened these days...the waring nation that Israel is these days....with Palestinians and such...you think that Jesus would've went to them...and how would they have received him? Wow...that's another thought ..Would Jesus throw out the Muslims ? Like he did the money changers?  I think that belief in a resurrection would be harder to believe these days...with computer graphics and visual trickery...if it happened during this time in history..    THERE is so many ways it could have happened ...and so many things that could be produced ...people trying to look up dirt on Jesus ...heck ...can you imagine some of those ridiculous magazines or shows trying to report things on Jesus or the disciples? Man...I could see the headlines now...and yes...I'm already shaking my head...

  Now I'm not taking away anything from the Bible ....it STILL to this day speaks to me ...and a lot of the things in there speak more volumes to people about many issues in the world ...and it gives you a clear way to view Jesus and God...and allows you to build a great relationship with them, But ...someone with a crazy imagination like mine...the mind wonders ...not on the negative per-say...but on the fantastic and inspired...and I'm really just throwing the questions and thoughts around...but I'm glad that we have the Bible to even think about those questions...

It really is like those things you hear about , like "What would Jesus drive? " I personally don't think he would drive...he might bicycle...ya never heard of a fat disciple...ha ha ...but ya..

I really just leave it to you ...whom ever is reading...What do you think would happen if the "New Testament" took place today? Would you have a book titled America? or Canada? like Romans and the others that were sent to other cities...How would the world receive the Word today if it happened today?

Thoughts ? Comments ? Stories that you might think take place? I welcome your opinions , whomever you are...and if ya just read it for the sake of reading it...thanks ! I hope it was worth the read.

First Crack at it...

   I really get stuck these days when it comes to putting my thoughts to either paper or keyboards...but Im finding that Im starting to type faster then I write...( and quite frankly my writing these days is sloppy...and I ain't that great when it comes to grammer...heck I still use the word 'aboot' and think its ok...well Im Canadian dang it ...I DO say Aboot)

  So I decided to try this...its , well it's something ....I don't know who's going to read this...and well I don't think I should care....It's really just therapy for me..so well here goes nothing....

Why the name ? Well its me ...Andy...and I thought ...'well if I was going to have people come hear my thoughts...Id want them to enjoy the best samwich in the world' there's the grill cheese part...and its a lil corner of my mind...Trust me ...you don't want anything more then that..ha...hahahaha.

Things have been going alright though...It's been 2 years plus since Ive gone on disability for my mental health problems and decided to deal with it ...its been a battle ...Ive honestly got to say that Ive run the through the full list of emotions , but Im blessed with life ...and I haven't let it get me yet...I love living ...and I'm going to continue to live ...even when there are times when I don't even wake up.

BAH...but hey...its all aboot the thoughts right? The things that I can put together that might be something to read ...something like I dunno...its going to be a mess but Imma try and have topic try and get all innovative maybe...try and incorporate some music lyrics or quotes and give thoughts on that... ya...been putting thoughts into this ...honest , but this is the first ...what can you expect when it comes to Andy spilling the beans on what he's thinking aboot?

Well plain and simple...Ill just give my opinion...and well Im entitled to it really ...I love that freedom to speak the mind thing... its great....Also ...been using logic a lot ..so you might find some of that floating around . I'm really just going to be typing like no one's reading , I feel that's the best way to get things out there...just me...the thoughts ...and the keyboard...
